tarn rug and crochet tops

ok i have some tarn to make and crochet 2 tops for me..i plan on using recycled yarn which was give or rather i took it before it ot thrown away it was a rather ugly very large scrap crochet blanket that had rotted in parts but mostly it was ok so i washed it and unravelled and got half a black sack of yarn from it ..took weeks to unravel, also we need a downstairs loo bath mat as my word its freezing in there and my son wont wear socks or slippers and moans his feet are cold when he uses the toilet! so watch this space ok tarn toilet rug done! i cut up 3 toddler t shirts 9-12 months and a pair of toddler leggings in 1 cm strips and used 8mm needles this was my tarn i also used some chunky yarn cast on 35 and stocking stitch for 20 cm next row k2 tog k 10 turn and work on these 11 stitches only p2 tog purl to end 9 stitches next row k2 tog knit to last 2 stitches and k2 tog 7 stitches ss 5 rows and cast off rejoin tarn to remaining 23 stitches and cast off 11 knit to last 2 stitches and k 2 tog 11 stiches turn and purl to last 2 stitches purl 2 tog 9 stitches nest row k2tog knit to last 2 stitches k2 tog 7 stitches ss 5 rows and cast off now using 4mm hook sc all around the edge for two rows..all done!
